Stephenie Meyer is a world known author, best known for writing the Twiligh Saga, which have sold more than a 100 million copies worldwide to date. She is number fifteen richest author, and she currently has an estimated net worth of $125 million dollars. As well as being an author, she is also a film producer and an actor.

Stephenie Meyer was born in Hartford, Connecticut to Stephen and Candy Morgan. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with five siblings,There are characters named after all her siblings in the Twilight Saga

Meyer is a very Christian person and she is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has stated that she is very certain of her beliefs, and she doesn't drink alcohol or smoke. Stephenie Meyer met her husband, Christian, when she was four years old, and they got married when they were both 21 years old, in 1994. Together they have three sons.

Before Meyer wrote Twilight, she had no experience as a writer. She considered going to law school, because she felt she had no chance of making it as a writer. Before becoming an author, Meyers only professional work was as a receptionist in a property company. 

But not everybody loves Meyer's work. Stephen King once said that Stephenie Meyer "can't write worth a darn. She's not very good". He went on saying that;

"People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because it's not overtly sexual."

Stephen King has a lot of experience in writing, so to an extent I believe him, but I still love Meyer's books, and her movies. What I like about them is that there are so many emotions in the books, and everything is described so well. I can fall in love with all the characters, and I just need more of them when I read it.
